Anna Teerlinck DeFrancisco, PT, DPT
NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach
USAW Certified Weightlifting Coach, Level 1
AAMT Dry Needling Certified
Anna is the Founder and Owner of Fempower Physiotherapy.
Anna started her career in St. Louis, Missouri, where she graduated from and taught at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine. As a physical therapist for the Washington University Athletics Department, she specialized in orthopedics and sports injury management. When the pandemic began in 2020, Anna and her now husband, Matt, decided to pursue travel therapy. It was on her travels where she found a passion for pelvic health; recognizing that no matter what state or healthcare setting they worked in, pelvic health was a vastly underserved community.
Anna moved to Austin in 2022 and after having been embraced by Austin’s birth world, she never looked back. Now, Anna specializes in pelvic health across the birthing spectrum — including fertility support, prenatal care, postpartum healing and return to activity, and long-term pelvic health management.
In addition to her dedication to the progression of the field of physical therapy and the standard of medical care in the birth world, Anna is also an NSCA-certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a USA Weightlifting-certified Weightlifting Coach which provides her with a unique perspective on how to rebuild the postpartum body into a stronger and better version than ever!
Anna is a fierce and boisterous addition to Austin’s birth world, blending personability and humor with sincerity and intentionality.
In her free time, Anna enjoys finding creative ways to entertain her son, day dates with her husband, weightlifting and running, cooking/baking, singing at the top of her lungs and getting songs stuck in everyone else’s heads, traveling, and any weather below 80 degrees F.
